Austin Public Health offers free COVID-19 vaccines to all eligible populations.

Vaccines are administered by appointment only. Call 512-972-5520 to make an appointment.

 

Immunization Services 

It’s as important as ever to stay on track with your and your child’s vaccines.  Waiting too long to get vaccinated can put you at risk for serious infection.  If not protected against the illnesses these immunizations can prevent, children, especially, can develop life-threatening medical conditions.  Vaccines are a safe and proven way to protect all community members.

Austin Public Health offers immunizations to children who are uninsured or Medicaid recipients. Services are also available to uninsured adults.  See below for more details.

Eligibility: for all our Immunization Services, these are the eligibility criteria:

    • Medicaid eligible

    • Uninsured

    • American Indian or Alaska Native

    • Underinsured

  • Adults (19 years old and older)

    • Uninsured

    • COVID-19 only

      • COVID-19 vaccines are free for adults who are uninsured or underinsured.

Shots for Tots/Big Shots Clinics (SFT/BS)

Services are by appointment only.  Call 512-972-5520 Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4:30pm to make an appointment.

We serve all ages at both clinics.

            Monday:        10:00am – 1:30pm

                                    3:00pm – 6:30pm

            Tuesday:        8:00am – 12:30pm

                                    2:00pm – 4:30pm

            Wednesday:  8:00am – 12:30pm

                                    2:00pm – 4:30pm

            Thursday:      8:00am – 12:30pm

                                    2:00pm – 4:30pm

            Friday:           8:00am – 11:30am

Saturday:       8:00am-12:00pm (one Saturday per clinic per month.  Please call us at 512-972-5520 for exact dates and to schedule an appointment.)

Clinic Fees:

  • Children: $13.00 per dose of vaccine

     
  • Adults: $25.00 per dose of vaccine

    • COVID-19 vaccines are free for adults who are uninsured or underinsured.

  • Note: No one is refused services if they are unable to pay.

Mobile Vaccination Program (MVP)

The Mobile Vaccination Program provides immunization services in the community, meeting our populations where they are.  If you are interested in hosting an immunization clinic with us, please complete this form.

The Mobile Vaccination Program serves all ages; however, each event is geared towards certain populations, so please check our schedule here to ensure we’ll have the vaccine you need.

Shot Records

Shot records are available at the Shots for Tots/Big Shots clinic locations for anyone who received their immunizations at public health clinics in Austin and Travis County, including Shots for Tots/Big Shots and the Mobile Vaccination Program. Note that shot records may not be available for immunizations given at private physicians' offices. For more information, call 512-972-5520.

Store your Immunization Records in ImmTrac

ImmTrac remembers which vaccines you've had when you can't. This free service safely stores your immunization records in one electronic system. To save time, if you are 18 or older, print out this ImmTrac form, fill it out, and bring it with you to your appointment.


Vaccines for Children Program

Vaccines for Children (VFC) is a federal program that is administered by Austin Public Health. The program provides no-cost vaccines to doctors’ offices, clinics, and schools in Travis County. VFC serves uninsured and other eligible children from birth to 18 years of age.
